Under the supervision of General Management, the Accounting Technician is responsible for all of the company's accounting tasks. More specifically, the incumbent will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, and monitor invoicing
- Perform bank reconciliations and monthly financial statements
- Remit payroll deductions, pension plan deductions, GST and QST tax returns, etc.
- Process weekly payrolls and update employee records (absences, vacation, sick leave, statutory holidays, deductions, salary increases, etc.).
- Prepare year-end documentation for external accountant.
- Occasionally perform administrative or other job-related tasks (review reports, update social network content, etc.).
To succeed in this position, and to successfully reconcile the face-to-face and telecommuting options offered, you'll need to stand out for your autonomy, sense of responsibility, organizational skills and thoroughness. In addition, you must meet the following requirements:
- A college diploma (DEC) in accounting.
- At least five (5) years' experience in a similar position.
- Mastery of Office Suite tools
- Demonstrate functional English and general knowledge of the construction industry (assets)
